    Crispin Argento, Managing Director Global

    AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS

    As co-founder of Sourcery, Crispin is an innovative and proven leader and is committed to building purpose-driven organisations that drive commercial, social and environmental value leading to market transformation and real impact at scale.

    Throughout his career, he has worked with many global brands, retailers and suppliers, foundations and non-profits to identify opportunities that accelerate their investments through sustainability. Prior to Sourcery, Crispin served as the Executive Director of Organic Cotton Accelerator (OCA) where he led the development of its pioneering direct-to-farm platform. Before that, he did the same in cashmere with NOYA Fibers and co-founded FUTUREMADE, Portland Apparel Lab and his namesake label, PINO.

  • Imran Asghar, Managing Director South Asia

    KARACHI, PAKISTAN

    Imran Asghar co-founded Sourcery with Crispin in 2020. Imran is a highly respected textile professional with 20 years of experience working in sourcing, production and buying. While serving an international retailer C&A, Imran led the development of its sustainable strategy for raw materials procurement and has deep experience working across Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), organic cotton and other standards from raw fibre to finished goods.

    Imran is also a board member of SIA Foundation Pakistan, a non-profit dedicated to supporting rural communities and growers in Pakistan to adopt sustainable agriculture practices. He has served as a delegate for the Textile Exchange Sustainability Conference and contributed to the development and advancement of its various standards.

    Ruchita Chhabra, Grower Engagement Director

    GURGAON, INDIA

    Ruchita Chhabra has over 20 years of experience, specializing in Sustainable Cotton Sourcing and Program Management. She has managed and monitored sustainable cotton programs like Organic, BCI, and REEL (PSCP) while working with organizations like CottonConnect and Organic Cotton Accelerator. She has also gained valuable sourcing experience from global buying houses such as Li & Fung and Impulse.

    Ruchita plays a crucial role in collaborating with various stakeholders like farm groups, global brands/ retailers, and supply chain partners. She is motivated to see the sustainable cotton supply chain become more straightforward, transparent, and mainstream in the industry.

    Rui Fontoura is a Fibre & Raw Material Sourcing Expert committed to guiding brands and retailers to take a more active position in ensuring the quality, integrity and impact they make through their sustainable cotton commitments – being at the forefront along with their supply chain partners to deliver more to growers and to the fibre they produce through our Direct-to-Grower™ programme.

    Rui formerly led Textile Exchange’s Fiber & Materials Strategy for Cotton & Crops and Burberry’s raw material sourcing across its entire value chain, applying over 20 years of experience in high-level positions in global sourcing and manufacturing in the fashion industry across Europe, Southeast Asia and North Africa.

    MUMBAI, INDIA

    Amey Padma is a renowned textile sourcing professional with over 21 years of experience in India's textile industry. His expertise lies in global sourcing and procurement of raw materials, such as yarn and fabric. Amey has played a crucial role in establishing efficient sourcing with just-in-time (JIT) delivery across various supply chains at competitive rates. Prior to joining Sourcery, he served as DGM Global Sourcing and Procurement (raw material) at Indo Count Inds Ltd, where he managed procurement worth 250 million USD.

    Amey is a strong advocate for sustainable practices in the textile industry. He is dedicated to utilizing his skills and knowledge to make the industry more ethical and environmentally conscious.

  • Mrinalini Alagarswami, Manufacturer Engagement Director

    BANGALORE, INDIA

    Mrinalini is a highly skilled and results-driven professional who has spent more than twenty years managing apparel sourcing and merchandising operations. Throughout her career, she has worked tirelessly to identify and secure qualified vendors across a wide range of categories, always striving to deliver streamlined and cost-effective merchandising solutions.

    Under her leadership, the team at C&A India achieved a major milestone by manufacturing and delivering the world's first Gold level C2C Certified Cradle to Cradle T-Shirts. Since joining Sourcery, Mrinalini has continued to excel in her role, taking responsibility for managing manufacturer engagement with great success.

    MUMBAI, INDIA

    Dipak is an experienced Agriculturist and food Technologist, certified in Organic, Social, and Sustainable agriculture inspection, and has implemented farming practices on the ground and provided training to farmers, field and processing staff. He has conducted over 850 audits in India and South Asian countries, including farming, processing, and trading. Dipak has interviewed and verified over 5000 farmers and 1000 workers, as well as certified 150 farming, processing, and trading units.

    Dipak is a qualified auditor for all organic standards, such as NPOP, NOP, EU, JAS, KRAV, Bio Suisse, Naturland, Naturland Fair, Demeter, Fair for Life, Regenerative Organic Certification (ROC), RainForest Alliance, and Hand In Hand.

  • Sowkat Hossain, Commercial Trade Director

    DHAKA, BANGLADESH

    With 24 years of experience in the retail brand and supplier industries, Sowkat is an innovative textile professional. His career includes almost ten years in an MNC (apparel fashion brand) and 14 years in the textile and apparel manufacturing industry in Bangladesh.

    During his time as a Merchandising Manager (Fabric, Yarn and Component Sourcing) for Bangladesh Hub at C&A, Sowkat led product re-engineering and sustainable product development, including reel cotton, which later became BCI, organic cotton, and many innovative product designs. Sowkat is also highly experienced in sourcing conventional dyes chemicals and natural dyes for textile dyes.

    MUNICH, GERMANY

    Eva is an experienced Digital Marketing & Impact Communication Strategist in the sustainable fashion space, and has implemented impactful marketing and communication strategies for purpose-driven start-ups and small businesses that challenge the status quo.

    She’s supporting our Direct-to-Grower™ Partners and other businesses in the textile value chain in crafting compelling and meaningful stories to transform trade for good through the Sourcery Studio.
