Deeper Traceability with BlueTrace™
For Partners seeking to go beyond digital chain-of-custody, BlueTrace™ offers next-level traceability at the batch and physical product level.
Powered by a universal Permanent Bale Identification (PBI) system that starts on fibre and continues through to fabric, BlueTrace™ enables Partners to gain deeper insights into origin, quality, composition, and integrity verification across fibre, yarn, and fabric as it moves from bale to brand.
Whether you're managing raw materials or finished goods, BlueTrace™ ensures complete confidence that goes beyond traceability from grower to retailer.
BlueTrace™ System puts trusted transparency, quality and integrity in your hands (literally).
How It Works
Adopting the BlueTrace™ System simple and requires process following a structured and simple four step approach:
Order Labels - Purchase pre-serialized BlueTrace™ System labels from select label and printing partners including Avery Dennison and others at least three (3) months in advance of fibre or raw material processing.
Engage Assurance Partner - Contact a Sourcery Assurance Partner to plan and schedule facility and process audit and sample drawing plan that follows Sourcery BlueTrace™ System Product Assurance Protocol.
Upload and Scan Product - With Assurance Partner Connect Platform mobile device a bale is registered on Connect and data is attached to the Transparent Trade (TT) Bluechip for the registered facility. Downstream Partners can then use their own mobile device and simply scan any bale, cone of yarn, or roll of fabric equipped with a BlueTrace™ System tag during devanning, managing inventory, preparing for laydown, loading a creel, or cutting fabric to get the origin, product quality and integrity information required.
Seamless Integration - Designed for flexibility, BlueTrace™ System works seamlessly alongside any existing PBI system, ERP, PLM in any fibre, product or in any geography. It also be integrated with third-party traceability technology providers (Textile Genesis)—giving you deeper visibility without losing control of your data or disruption of the processes and platform already in use.
*BlueTrace System is currently underdevelopment and is available as a additional add-on within the Connect Platform for participating processors (gins). Additional fees may apply for printers, labels and integration.

Direct-to-Grower™ Certified.
Direct-to-Grower™ Certification is a next generation digital-first standard that relies on the capture of primary verified data through the Transparent Trade and Intelligent Impact solutions data modules using the Connect Platform — Assurnace Partner can mutually benefit adopting this approach to impact reporting at scale.
Trade Smarter. Grow Faster. Accelerate Impact.
*Direct-to-Grower Certification is a trade, transparency and process and data collection standard. It is not a product, composition, social compliance or sustainability standard. Certification requires meeting minimum volume requirements in Sourcery and/or purchasing fibre, yarn, fabric and finished goods with corresponding Bluechip data sets.
